Answer: Absolutely! e-manage has
the most extensive error trapping system
that sends the error, including which
line of code it happened on and the
window directly back to Marketplace
Software, LLC for analysis and fixing.
In general, bugs reported to us via the
e-manage error trapping system are
squashed within 3 to 5 days and a live
update is issued to the company that
reported the error, or all companies
depending on the severity.

800 toll free number, plus bug fixes to
the current version of e-manage you are

What type of hardware / software will I
need to run e-manage?
Answer: Good
Question. It would really depend
on the size of your company, but we
suggest that you involve Marketplace
Software in your decision as we are not
here to sell you hardware. Our
philosophy is one of buy exactly what
you need for the next year or year and a
half and have it be inexpensive enough
to continue to purchase a new server
every year to two years. Your
users will thank you for always having
the latest ad greatest.

Everywhere on this website and many
places on the internet, either you or
some of your customers is in print or on
video stating they they doubled their
volume, sales and either stayed at the
same staffing levels while doubling or
in fact eliminated salaried positions.
How is this possible?
Answer: It is
possible because 30% of your employees
day is spent chasing paper, electronic
files, salespeople, or have to escape
the tedium from performing repetitive
tasks all day long. Computers were
meant to take away repetition and
replace it with automation. We are
fans of automating that which can be

What does it mean when you say that
e-manage runs on concurrent licensing?
Answer:
Concurrent licensing means that you can
install e-manage on however many
computers you need to without purchase
licenses for each of them.
Instead, you may have the number of
people logged into the database as you
have licenses. Therefore it is
actual connections to the database that
take a license not the computer itself.
We have put in safeguards to ensure that
users do not log in twice at two
different locations and unwittingly take
up two licenses.
When users log on at a second
workstation or at home, the other system
logged on will automatically log off
within 1 minute and will issue a warning
to that affect.
Question:
How many updates can I expect to get per
year and what else does the support
contract cover?
Answer: We send
out updates between every three months
to every 5 months. We may call
upon our existing customer to do beta
testing during that time to iron out any
bugs, as each of our updates tends to be
a leap in technology. We deliver
updates to all workstations via the
e-mange live update and can target each
company individually or all customers as
a whole. In general, for large
updates, you will be scheduled for an
hour walkthrough / training and record
the training to make it available to our
customers.
You can generally expect that there will
be about 6 to 7 minor updates within the
first three weeks of an update going out
fixing or changing unplanned issues.
e-manage has a built-in bug tracking
system that when your computer hits an
error, it will create a message for us
that states where the problem occurred
and a screen shot of what you were
working on. you are notified by an
IT person with a life preserver image
that fades in and out until the error is
sent.
At no time are you thrown out of the
software with a run-time error. We
have spent years building in traps for
these errors, so you can simply send the
error to us and continue what you were
working on.
You may also send questions through the
same window which get added to our help
desk ticketing system (e-mange of
course) and either answered as soon as
possible, or you receive a live update
to solve the problem. Some
problems with software take much longer
to solve than others. If you feel
like we are taking too long to find
answer for you, you are welcome to

I understand
that e-manage 6 tightly integrates with
QuickBooks. What versions does it
support? What if I don't use
QuickBooks and do not want to change
from what I am using.
Answer: e-mange
supports QuickBooks Pro, Premiere,
Contractor, and Enterprise for the years
2003 through 2007. The integration
with QuickBooks is recommended for those
companies under 50 million per year.
Because 90% of what you would do in
QuickBooks is done in e-manage in less
than half the time, you do not lose any
reporting capabilities you might have
with your accounting system. e-manage
will handle anything to do with project
or service based income and expense and
electronically send to customers,
vendors, receivables, cash receipts, and
payables and handle your invoicing,
purchase orders, sales tax reports (even
for lump sum sale jobs in California),
aging and collections efforts better
than any software you have ever used.
When you are using e-manage as your
primary source for billing and payables,
commissions are also calculated
automatically by e-manage and your
collections are transparent to the
salespeople responsible for the
respective jobs and in some cases they
an help with the collection of
uncollected funds.
If you are not interested in using quick
books, your company could still greatly
benefit from the features of e-manage.
Accounting departments do not get
involved generally until the order has
come in. e-manage starts tracking
from the marketing campaign and lead
generation, deliver, tracking to
booking. e-manage also tracks the
cost to your company of having your
internal support staff prepare pre-quote
and post quote estimates, surveys,
drawings, or any other tasks and shows
